Dr. Gallo graduated from Tufts University, Medford, MA in 1980 where he received his baccalaureate of science degree majoring in chemistry and minoring in mathematics. He worked at the Endo Pharmaceutical Laboratory, Garden City, NY where he pursued a masters degree in pharmaceutical science at St. John’s University, Queens, NY.
Dr. Gallo completed his medical education at St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies in 1986. Subsequently,
Dr. Gallo completed a residency in Internal Medicine and graduated
from St. Michael’s Medical Center/ Seton Hall University in 2000. In his post-graduate years, he worked as an emergency room physician at Mt. Vernon Hospital, NY.
He then returned to New Jersey to work with a colleague with whom he met during his residency training, Dr. Salvatore Laraia. Dr. Laraia was an established cardiologist and internist who had been working in the Fort Lee community and Holy Name Hospital for many years. Together they practiced medicine for many years until Dr. Laraia’s retirement. Dr. Gallo has been an internist in Fort Lee and an attending physician at Holy Name Medical Center since 1992.
